Is Dave’s Killer Bread Ultra-Processed?

Dave’s Killer Bread is free from additives and preservatives, making it a less processed option than other store-bought bread on the market.

Is Dave’s Killer Bread Healthy? Bottomline:

We gave Dave’s Killer Bread a nutrition score of 83 out of 100, making it an excellent store-bought bread option. Except for the white bread flavor, Dave’s Killer bread is made with whole wheat and is a good source of fiber. In addition, it uses enzymes to aid in the breadmaking process allowing it to be free from chemical preservatives.

On the negative side, Dave’s Killer Bread contains up to 5 grams of sugar per slice, depending on the flavor. While I wouldn’t consider this high in other food categories, it is much higher than other breads on the market. Overall, the positive attributes of this bread outweigh the negatives, but it is something to be mindful of as a sandwich made with two slices of Dave’s Killer Bread can be a sneaky source of sugar in your day.
